Hi all,
I just bought an Eq6 Synscan and I've been reading around on the net that autoguiding can be achieved without the use of a relay box.
Does that mean that I can just use a cable from the computer directly in to the Auto Guide plug in the mount?
Cheers, Andrew

Your mount should have a ST4 port, and near all guiders these days have a ST4 port, so just plug in and go.
But as per anything, its always safe to ask the guider vendor if it will work for your mount.

You would connect the guider to the mount directly, and control the mount with the guider, like PHD etc.

umm not sure - think you need the shoestring astronomy box and cable

however you can plug the serial cable not into the ST4 but into your hand controller and autoguide..couldnt make it work meself but others have quite successfully

As Theo has said, if the guider has an ST4 port it can be plugged straight into the EQ6.
