I took my guiding camera (DSI PRO II ) and took 90 x 42 sec subs of M51 then combined the luminance with my Dslr RGB image looks like a winner might have to play around with this a little more

Is this visible in our northern skies Australia?

All my northern targets are badly blotted out by the orange skyglow of the main city of canberra.

Nice job Les. Did you have any problems with image scale differences for combining?

Have seen M51 low down on horizon from west of Brisbane.

Nice one. There are several Northern targets I'd love to image. M51 is one. M63 another. M31, Jellyfish nebula.

Interesting to combine the data form the two cameras Les looks good.
Love to give M51 a try but it's too low for us down here unfortunately.

Thanks Guys I was surprised how well it came out to answer a few questions combiing is so easy with REGISTAR I can take images from my C11 and combine them with my SV 102 with no problems it well worth checking out.

Funny you should mention the Jellyfish I shot that at the beginning of the year and just recieved picture of the week from stellarvue here is a link http://www.stellarvue.com/astrophotography.html

Very nice Les, certainly a different combination of cameras. End result is quite pleasing.
