Withdrawn from sale for the moment, pending additional equipment (AO--8) addition. Expressions of interest welcome for stuff below with an AO8 and adapter plate...

I'm in the process of buying a newer one of these from the US, so I need to sell this one.

This is an earlier USB model ST-10XME, it doesn't have the remote guide head port. This port allows you to add an external guide chip vie and OAG to the system, mainly used for narrowband imaging.

This is a fantastic camera if you just want to do RGB or LRGB imaging. I have had some great results using this camera. I have done some narrowband imaging with the camera, but you need a bright guide star. LRGB is no problem even guiding through the filters, brighter stars are better, but even quite dim ones will do. For examples of the pictures I have taken please go to http://tinyurl.com/qfzzbg

The camera comes with everything I got it with except the filters, but includes a spare filterwheel. This includes software (CCDsoft, full version).

The ST-10XME has one of the highest QE's of any SBig camera, it's the flagship of the ST line of cameras. This particular example is well cared for. It has two hot pixels. These are removed by dark frames with a little bit of touchup later on. I have just received a new one of these so I have to move this one on, hence the much lower price.

Price $4500 firm, does not included postage.

Email me (rat156 at optusnet dot com dot au) or PM me if your interested.

Is that $4500 before or after the $1000 price drop?

Is this an NABG chip?

Hi Dave,

After the $1000, so it's $4500 now, still a steal at this price...

It blooms, so it's NABG.

I might add, this is an insane deal, for cam plus filter wheel. As Staurt says, its the highest QE you can get without fancy very expensive, rear, thinned illumination, nothing else touches it at some 90% peak QE, and that really counts.

I paid more lately for a S/H ST10XME without the filterwheel, and that was a good deal.

The non-external guide socket is mute, I have never used it, external guide via say a QHY5 is better, for a lot of reasons, at a lower cost.

Bratislav has had to pass on this for now, so it's back up for sale.

OK, after a few inquiries and a couple of failed sales...

I have found an AOL to go with my other equipment. It's on it's way from Europe, so I'll be able to add into the package an AO8 and the necessary adapter plate. The AO8 is only a few months old and works really well. It is definitely the way to go for subarcsecond tracking on a mount that doesn't cost the Earth, I used it successfully on an RCX 10", if the seeing co-operates you get amazing detail from one of these setups. The only reason I stumped for the AOL is that it's a bit more compact in my setup and it was cheap (for an AOL that is).

I'm after expressions of interest in the whole setup. I'll probably readvertise the lot in a different ad when the AOL arrives so people don't get confused. As a guide I'd be looking for $5500.

New prices for this stuff would total around $10k, so this is a bargain.
