Guys after seeing the shot of the week - I tried my hand with 5 * 6 minute shots of Omega C9.25 -> Canon 400D, Deep SkyStacker -> CS4.

I am not unhappy with it - but curious as to how to increase colour in stars whilst maintain colour fidelity as much as possible - suggestions please!

Second shot 3240 secs 9 * 360 seconds after a meridan flip (nice goto btw - no adjustments to my gotos lately) the only difference in process is in CS4 I ran Noel Caeboni's increase star colour marco three times.

Wondering if star colour fidelity is resonable and how to tell?

Barb gave me this advice for Photo shop.

Go to....Image-Adjustments-Selective Colour
Play around with the sliders until your happy with the results.
On my screen there is a magenta glow to your stars.
The highlights look a bit bright too.

That said, I think you've done a top job on the capture.
