I just watched this DVD. I recommend it for astronomy clubs and schools. http://www.eyesontheskies.org/
It is about the history of the telescope, future telescopes and the things we can see with them. There are 7 chapters.
"The Eyes on the Skies is a movie produced as standard DVD and Blu-ray format, freely available for TV broadcasters and for public events carried out by educators, science centres, planetariums, amateur astronomers etc. (send you postal address to us (lars@eso.org) )". http://www.eyesontheskies.org/movie.php
There is a 132 page hardcover book too that costs 19.90 Euro and includes the 60 min DVD. http://www.wiley-vch.de/publish/en/books/bySubjectPH00/ISBN3-527-40865-7/?sID=acha7q64auec1kpv9akpvkq1f2
