Hi all

Been a while since I last posted an image. The weather here in Melbourne has been vary unkind until today. The clouds cleared up bit this afternoon, so out with the Lumenera for my second attempt at imaging Venus and first time with the Tele Veu 5x Powermate. This time I used a 80A Blue filter to see if I could get some cloud detail but had no luck (Knew it was a long shot anyway). I will need to get my hands onto a Baader Venus U-Filter if I am going to record any detail. You can check out the image by following the link:

That's ****** sensational.
Are you a member of the planetary section of ASV?

Hi

No, but as you would have guessed I am a member of the ASV. My main interest lies in astrophotography; I do a lot of my work from my backyard. It has been hard to do any imaging with the weather the way it is and have an 8 month old baby to care for. But anyway I hope we can meet one day, maybe at Heathcote or Royal Park

Nice shot Anthony, really sharp and not overexposed. A great Venus shot. I can't wait to see your results with the venus filter.

I'm not a member of ASV yet but will be once I get a good scope. I'll definately be an active member of the planetary section.

I'm going to the Ballarat star party.

You don't need as scope, join the ASV and you can borrow a telescope. The ASV has a very successful telescope loan project which has been running for many years now and you can borrow an 8" reflector for up to six months.
