This is the first image where I knew what the sensor temperature was through the whole collection procedure. That is flats. darks for flats, darks and finally lights. What better object to look for noise than the Coal Sack.

Lovely image, Bert.

Any clues to the identity of the red star between the Jewel Casket and NGC4609? I've tried to identify it in CdC, but it seems too bright for anything in the CdC catalogues. My two top contenders are:

TYC 8988-00717-1 M = 10.90 CI = 0.56
TYC 8989-02640-1 M = 11.09 CI = 0.39Al.

Beautiful. Even the jewel box is nicely resolved. Top work.
