Gday People

Hopefully this post works

I am a newbie to the iis list. This is the result of a whole weekend of 8 minute sucker holes for 10 minute exposures. It needs more subs but I will wait until next weekend when the sucker holes might be bigger.

Location - Leyburn Observatory QLD
NGC 6188 Ara
ED120 Black Diamind
Orion Starshoot Pro 2
HEQ 5 Pro
4 x 10 min subs
Caloibrated and tweaked a little in MaximDL5

A Nice image but as you say a bit more data required and maybe not so heavy on the processing and you will have a great image.
Welcome and thanks for posting.

Gday Mike

Thx for the welcome (Hagar too) - I cant say much in depth about the Orion yet, my background is tech pan -> DSLR and just recemtly the CCD. I will say that they are very user friendly (not that I have a lot to compare with) - my first night out I got detail in the horsehead that I was striving for for years with film. That was just by following the intro guide in the manual so if a silly old fool like me can use it - it must be user friendly.

Thks for the comments Hagar - I agree its overprocessed (trying to get too much out of limted data) - it is way too easy to tweak gamma these days - hopefully some more subs and lighter hand next weekend will reveal pleasing results.
