This is my first attempt at these galaxies.
Wasn't sure about the framing, obviously.:doh:
No guiding, just 17minutes of 20 sec subs @ iso 1600.
Taken using....
sw proed 80
on the iOptron Mini Tower (of terror)
Canon 20d
It's looking good for another attempt tonight.:thumbsup:

Looks good to me :) Unguided? Imagine what you could do with longer exposures!

I agree! I have never seen a Leo Triplet with so very short times of exposure. My respect!

It's capable of guiding, but it has to be put on an eq mount.
I'll work on that soon.

Phil, I'm using the Mini Tower now with an ed 80.
Still alt azi though.
Chris, I use Deep Sky Stacker and to pretty it up, Photo Shop cs3 and Paint Shop Pro 9.

Thats a great effort JJJ especially when you consider the short subs. I wonder how the mini tower would go if you mounted it on a wedge.
