I took a few snaps on the long weekend. I like dark nebs found a very dark one is SAC 65a near Alph Cent. Worth taking a closer look I think. Gum 15 is much dimmer then I thought it was, taken over three nights with a little high cloud on the first and third. NGC5189 is a crop of a larger field, I like seeing this neb in the rich star field it lives in. Anyway enjoy.:D

Very nice images Ken, thanks for sharing.
SAC 65a could almost be called the sea-horse nebula, looks like one to me.

Interesting selection of objects for imaging under a full moon - brave man :)
All pretty nice Ken, particularly given their relative low brightnesses and the high brightness of full moon, can't imagine the gradients you must have had to deal with :scared:
Very nice job considering
Hmm?...don't see one of Centaurus A :confuse3::whistle::D

Nice images Ken, I like them.
The dark snakey one is cool. I bet Thomas Davis is noting that one for a long exposure dust extravaganza!

Thanks guys, Greg I would love to see what Thomas can do with it, its very dark I only had 100 mins of Lum on it but couldn't pick up anything.
Strongmanmike, I'm like you I used to have a dark site that I would image at whenever I could. Now I image in town with a steelworks a few kilometers away, so gradients are a problem all the time, let alone when the moon is in the way. That's why I've been trying my hand at narrowband. As for Cent A I've done one, but's it not a shine on your effort, mate.

Very nice collection Ken. Brave and gutsy effort during the full moon.
Were these taken with the WO 132 or another scope?

Hey Kenny, they're all beauties...
can't believe you actually did them through the full moon.... well done!
I really like the look given to Gum 15.. sort of hangin in a swirl of galactic dust.
The dark neb vdBH 65a is also excellent.
Thanks for that!
All the best

Hagar, they were done with the RC, would not have been able to dogde the moon with the 132mm. Sadly it's in it's box at the moment. I've only got a G11 it will only take the RC and nothing else. Time for a new mount, bloody GFC!
