Hi All,

This is my second attempt at unguided shots during the full moon last Sat night. Well its actually my third but the second attempt was a disaster and everything went wrong on the night and I couldnt get aligned.

They are only 1 min subs - alignment is a bit of a challenge for me which is why Ive posted a query on quide cameras also.

Im using an unmodded 450D, ED80Pro on Heq5pro
Stacked in DSS
Curves and levels in CS2

Eta Carina and Omega Cent are 8 x 1 min subs
M83 is only 5 x 1 min as a tree got in the way!

My Eta Carina looks different ie much redder than many other posted here - have I done something wrong here?
Im keen to hear how much I should process further or back off, thoughts on noise etc

Either way Im ecstatic with what Ive got and cant wait to take longer subs and to shoot in a dark sky as I really didnt know how well the shots would come out with a full moon.
Im addicted now!:)
(Shots taken at Anglesea Vic which is generally quite dark.)

thanks for looking.

Very good, and same gear as me. I was thinking about giving Eta Carina a go this weekend if I get a chance. You've inspired me ;)

nice work
Eta is fine i think , in fact i'd probably saturate a touch much more, especially the red giants.
M83 is a bit noisy
wel done
