This image was taken on Boxing Day last year and was difficult to get just before the Sunrise.

The age of the Moon was on IIS as being 27.9 days old.

I had to move the scope around to get a semi clear view between the trees while battling the Mozzies and tripping over my own feet....

Its the skiniest Moon I think I'll ever get.. Maybe I may get one thats better focussed. I'll try for New Moon next maybe.

Same setup as usual Afocal through my Little Meade 114mm. with 18 mm ED eyepiece.

Can't say I've ever seen a thinner slice of the old cheese ball.

Bravely captured Geoff.

What is it with astronomers...they drag pieces of heavy equipment around, in the dark. risk dengue fever & broken legs just to get that special image.

Even the Army don't make people do that! :screwy:

Hi Phil.
