I bought my first telescope (a Tasco 40mm) when I was 7.
Everyone thought I was nuts too until I showed them the craters on the moon !!!

Yes it can be a bit like that spacegeek.
I dont know anyone with more than a passing interest in astronomy other than those I have met from astronomy clubs or from online foums. One of the great things about this site is that is has brought many people together in the common interest that otherwise may never have met.

P.S I wouldnt try to guess peoples ages on here from their posts :lol:

my 1st scope wos a 60mm Tasco when i wos 10. i luvved it when i 'discovered' saturn. i now have a 90mm going onto sumthin bigger. thanks for da welcome
