Whats happened to heavens above.com?

Hi all
Thought It see when the ISS is due over here, but heavens above seems to have gone. I even searched for "ISS predictions" through Google and clicked the heavens above.com link it provided and theers nothing there.

Are there any other web sites that provide dates and times when the ISS is due over Newcastle?

Eek you're right, it's gone. Hopefully the server is just down and it'll be back soon.

Yes I've noticed that to. I was hoping to get tonights details.

Fortunately, spaceweather.com have a site that does much the same although in a simpler format. The link is:

Just follow the promts through Global Flybys to Newcastle and you should be set!

Stellarium now has a plug in to display the earth satellites as seen from anywhere on earth. From all reports it is accurate. It also automatically gets the latest updates. It does not give the times that the ISS or HST are visible from a particular site but if they show on the screen from your location around dusk and dawn they will probably be viewable.

The plugin that runs in Stellarium 0.10.2 is available below

When first running the module I can see the TLE's updating automatically.
How do I know that "last_updated = 2009-3-23..." is correct?

You just have to accept that this is the latest data considering where it comes from. The epoch date is the 09100.14001394
The 09 is years from 2000, 100 is days from the beginning of the year and the rest is the fraction of the day.

Off Topic: I have no idea "where it (the data) comes from" or how to tell if it has been updated properly.

I was hoping to help tornado33 with his original question about the ISS and it's dates and times over Newcastle. My goal was to try and use Stellarium screenshots. Now I am confused by the technical nature of your reply and don't feel confident about being able to help.
