There's one sure-fire way of making a normally co-ordinated, sporty kind of grown man look like an uncoordinated fool..

Take him Ice Skating! :D

My son Jacob's scout group went to "Erina Ice World" Ice Skating yesterday afternoon.. I've never been ice skating before, and I can tell you it really makes you look like an idiot :)

Half a dozen falls, several of them sprawled out across the ice, flat on my stomach arms outstretched  But in the end i'd got the hang of it and was making my way around ok, getting a bit of speed up.

Was a lot of fun..

I'm lucky there - instead of competitive sport in high school, I chose ice skating - just scream around the rink for a couple of hours a week for three years.... kind of makes you quite good! Got to perve at all the girls too... :) :) :)
Hey - being good at ice skating makes learning to snow ski a zillion times easier - you balance and turn exactly the same, just with really long, flat skates.....
It is lots of fun....

I tried ice skating many many years ago at Ringwood Ice Rink in Melbourne when we lived down there and gave it up pretty quick as i just couldn't get the hang of it. I could imagine the trouble i would be in if i was to do it again now. The fact is though, i don't need Ice Skating to make me look like an idiot. :P

I tried Ice skating once, was hopless, so I took up perving on the girls from the sidelines.

Dont worry mike your not the only one....even though I can Ice Skate I have taken many falls.....it usualy takes me an hour or so to get back into it then I'm fine.

Its funny watching us noobs on the ice just about to fall over and then you try to compensate by running on the spot...lol

Here's some photos I took with the camera phone, disappointed with the quality of them.. I've now changed the setting to "fine" to see if it's better next time.

I was a pretty good roller skater (it was the 50s) so I thought ice skating would be a breeze, yeah right. Tried it once with painfull results, tried again 30 years later with my kids - same result - never again.

Went ice skating once many moons ago. Skated like a drunk in a brewery... spectacular forward sprawls and much laughter from the spectators...didn't help when the person on the PA system kept going on about...HERE HE COMES AGAIN... Anyway, the deciding crunch (no pun intended) came when, after being overtaken many times by small children that probably couldn't yet walk properly, I hit the rink fence, somersaulted over the top and ended up on the ground with one leg in the air, the skate beautifully parked through the link of a chain hanging on the wall. Never again!!
