I'm considering getting a DBK 21AU04.AS mainly for planetary imaging but was wondering if it could be also used for autoguiding? I notice PHD has the firewire version in the camera selection dropdown but don't see the USB version. Does PHD recognise this camera?

Most definitely. I use PHD with my DMK21AU04 for guiding.

Thanks Mike - which camera do you select in the camera connection dropdown? I'm assuming it is not the Imaging source firewire camera? Is it just recognised as WDM?

Yes I think it's WDM. I haven't loaded it up in a while.

Mike is correct. From memory; select WDM Camera, then DMK.
With the DBK, I have to select WDM, DBK, YU800 (from memory)

As Daniel mentioned, WDM/DBK... I had troubles with my DBK31 and PHD when using Y800 to start with, so I used "unknown" which worked well, but later on a few months later Unknown stopped working, and Y800 started working well.. Confusing! :)
Good luck with it!
Alex.
