Being new to astrophotography and EqMod with pulse guiding idea I was having lot of technical issue last night. Anyway after sorting those out (kind of) i realized orion (my initial target for the night) is well gone. So i thought i will give m83 half an hour of try and pack for the night. This is my first try on a galaxy

No dark, flat, bias for this trial
Binned 2x2 with Qhy8
Scope C10N (with out coma corrector)
Guider: ED80, Starshoot Autoguider
Frames: 4x 5m, 1x 10m
Processed: PS2

I had a question on stacking if someone can give me an answer it will be great help. Am i supposed to stack diffrent length subs seperately or can i do all together?

Excellent first try on a galaxy. I'd be happy with that shot.

Thats a fair result, good work. If the exposures are significantly different, its better to process them seprately and blend them together seperately with layers in PS, selectively, That way you get depth from the longer exposures and mix with shorter non saturated subs to maintain detail in both dim and brighter areas.

Good first shot. Is is monochrome? I thought QHY8 was one-shot-colour?

In 2x2 bin mode the QHY8 gives a B/W image. Great first shot by the way Sadia

Good pic there Sadia, I have been a little reluctant to try a galaxy yet as I'm too beginner. But after seeing this effort i will give it a try.

A very nice start there Sadia.

As to your question: I have stacked different length subs together on some images with no probs.
Just remember, if you take darks, to apply the right darks to the corresponding exposures first.

Thank you everyone for the encouragement and for clarifying the query. I hope to post few more images (hopefully better ones) once I get to try again in coming weeks.
