I wonder why the experiment is called Pamela?

Looking foreward to the the LHC to be up and running to confirm / repudiate this discovery.

PAMELA stands for
a Payload for Antimatter Matter Exploration and Light-nuclei Astrophysics..

How do they come up with those abbreviations? :-)

They probably have a list of names (like wives, children etc) they want and the one that comes up with the most obscure acronym wins!
