For any one interested in making contact with other amateur astronomers in your immediate location try this site out. A guy on cloudy nights forum has created it.

Hi Ash

Yep I am hoping that the cloudy night moderators have checked it out and is all good. I am more worried about spam to my email. We all take chances, I was by my self last saturday night at a dark skies location with no mobile coverage and suddenly thought to myself I have no first aid kit with me! This is why I think this is a great idea (scope buddies) as you have back up with you while observing and also have the ability to learn off each other no matter what level you are at.:thumbsup:

Yea I was a bit worried about submitting my email address also.

Hahaha yes I much rather observing with someone than my self. there have been a couple of nights where i have quickly packed up my stuff and rushed into my car because I would hear noises from the bushes or just got too scared being by my self in the middle of nowhere!! :sadeyes::sadeyes::sadeyes::sadeyes ::sadeyes::sadeyes::sadeyes:
