First trial of new system but I got too greedy and only managed 30x1min subs with the DSI 2 Pro and 5" ED scope as these objects were rapidly approaching the meridian. Ill have to get deeper subs and more to get the real detail out of some of these objects.

Great first images with the DSI Allan. As the others have said there's plenty of detail there.

Great images.

If you have Photoshop it would be better to lasso the galaxy for sharpening and exclude the stars which have an oversharpened look.

You can reverse this effect by selecting the stars only using the colour range tool and using a bit of gaussian blur to soften the edges of the stars a bit.

Greg.

Greg
Thanks for your hints with PS.
I took the M88 shot and did a quick gaussian blur on the stars as you suggested and I think that as you can see there is an overall improvement in the aesthetic quality of the shot. I very slightly sharpened the galaxy in the second shot
Much appreciated
Allan

I agree the M88 shot looks a lot better with the small amount of PS treatment - well done

Thanks for all the kind comments and help . I just need to concentrate on one object per night - but there is so many things to see that its hard to resist slewing to them and just getting some of your own data to play with.
Its also kind of people to comment on your shots as it only helps you improve your photos.
