Finally managed to get a few clear minutes of sunshine!!!
Seeing wasn't very steady...
Used the Moonfish 8-24 Zoom for visual.... very easy to adjust and gives great views... I'm happy with it on the SM60.
Using the AE x4 Imagemate and the DMk21.
A couple of nice proms visible as well as lots of surface detail around AR1014.
Unfortunately it clouded over before I could set up the Lumicon Prom Filter.. next time!

Always enjoy your solar shots.
I wish the sun would start churning up some nice sunspots and proms!
Seems to have been real quiet for a long time?
cheers

The prognosis for Solar Cycle 24 is that there will be some improvement in activity later this year and into early next year.
Good time to get the practise!!
BTW Can anyone recommend a good mosaic program for stitching half a dozen solar surface images?? I've tried PSP7 and iMerge with limited success.....

HOughy,
Any success with the Lunt?? I'm very interested in seeing what it can do!

Have you tried Autostitch? Freeware so it`s a bit limited but it does a fairly good job most of the time?
cheers Gary
