Hi all,

capured Jupiter this morning in hazey conditions with high humidity. Still got some interesting detail, that has developed since last year.

Processed in Registax 5 and still getting use to it. At least I don't have to use Virtual Dub anymore, as Registax 5 can take a huge number of images.

Well done Lester,

Got some very nice detail happening there, processing looks good, lots to look forward to this apparition.

Nice natural looking image with just the right amount of detail (not overdone!) What camera did you use etc?

Thanks Trevor and Paul.

Paul, I use a modified DFK21af04, which I have been told is now similar to the DBK camera.

Hi Lester

That's a very nice image - quite detailed for so early in the season, so well done! It appears very much as I would imagine seeing it, if I were an astronaut during the close approach phase – I should be so lucky!

Cheers

Dennis

That's very nice Lester, excellent detail. You could add a bit more punch and contrast in processing if you wanted.

Well done.

Thanks again for all your comments.

Here is a slight improvement of the same image, brightened the limb slightly, and that is about all. Can't sharpen it anymore without artifacts creeping in.

Tonight is looking good so will be trying again.

Thanks Anthony.

I am a bit peeved, this morning got a quick look at Jupiter and it was so steady, but by the time I got focus and ready, in came the cloud. Anyway there will always be a next time.
