8 second exposure, ISO 1600 (+2 stops in camera raw iirc), 3 image stack I think too... only managed to align the center not the edges haha.

I dont think stacking actually improved the results, I was just playing around at the time.

Shot on 30D + Olympus E.Zuiko 135mm f/3.5, from my back yard... anyway it was a random shot.. i just happened to choose a location of the sky to shoot with the 50mm prime.. and checked it out close up and saw a pink area and then centered it shot again.. then switch to the 135mm.

Anyway, hope to upgrade my equipment to something decent for long exposures :)

Good start, Daniel! How long were the exposures?

Well done Daniel, not bad at all for a fixed tripod.

Cheers

Max was 8 seconds, as any longer and I get star trails with 135mm, also "underexposed" 2 stops, ie: what youre seeing has been pushed up 2 stops digitally.

It was at f/3.5 (wide open) though I have another 135mm lens thats 1 stop faster (f/2.5) that, but I dont know how much more I can do on only one more stop of exposure hmm
