That's a great first start, Robbie. Well done! Way better than my first Saturn attempt.

Well done Robbie,

Nice image scale and some banding, a great start to imaging Saturn.
Look forward to following your advancement with planetary imaging.

Regards
Trevor

Thanks fellas. I was proud of that one and the penny dropped on a few things which will make my next attempt better Im sure. The seeing wasnt the best and I need to work on my focusing skills me thinks but Im progressing slowly but surely. Now I cant wait for jupiter again, I had a go at that when I was an ultra raw noob and they were totally hideous,
I'll catch up to all you guys skill wise one day

When the seeing is bad it's really hard to get focus right. I'm forever tinkering with focus in bad seeing trying to get it sharper and most times it never helps :)

The ED80 is razor sharp but the sct is a real juggle.
I Think its the hardest task in setting up for a shot I especially dont like it when you finally get it spot on then forget to switch the handset back to slew....go to slew and bugger up your half hours work on focusing...Grrrr
