If you finally are forced to spend money on something new, the cheap 80 deg eyepieces are worth trying.

Andrews sells:-

Andrews 80° UltraWide (UW) EyepiecesOutstanding 2" 80° UW 30mm eyepiece...A$69
Type Price $(AUD) Outstanding 2" 80° 30mm eyepiece.
Compare to all other high grade ultra-wide field 2" eyepieces! $69.00
Unbelievable! NEW! 2" 80° 20mm eyepiece (includes removable 1.5x Barlow lens) $79.00

If you get the 20mm and unscrew the barlow, I understand it is then identical to the 30mm.

I have two of the 30mm. One in my kit and one is in my public viewing set of eyepieces.

Just remember, they are not quality eyepieces, but many think they do a reasonable job, particularly for their price.

There are a few threads on them in the last year or so.

Here is one:-
