Patrick, will you have enough scopes? Do you want some visitors from out of town to bring scopes?

Thanks Eric - I just spoke to Craig who's organising the event. We should have enough scopes from Bendigo, but visiting telescopes would be very welcome. I have to say, I quite like the idea of a telescope muster. Even my beloved, whose interest in astronomy is non-existent (but whose support for my obsession is unwavering) is keen to come along and is inviting a wide array of friends and family, so the idea has certainly evoked some interest.

Thanks Patrick. Well, it's the weekend after I have spent 4 days away at Snake Valley Star Camp. Permission might be quite hard to obtain. We'll see.

Yes, I can see the problem. Can't help thinking though, that with your gear you could do a pretty impressive solo Great Telescope Muster! Hope you have a great time at Snake Valley.

Excellent Patrick, good luck with it!
Was over your way last week and will be in central Vic over the SV weekend and beyond, but won't quite make it to the 4th unfortunately. Saw adverts for the Science & Technology Centre programs while I was in Bendigo. Top stuff!

Cheers -

I love the idea of this - I wish I'd thought of it! Its definitely something to think about for the future, but I don't know if I can see the whole of Perth turning out for it...
