This sentence really got it for me:scared:

In the hours which followed, the crew bravely flew the two craft to a distance of over one hundred miles apart - a daring feat which left McDivitt & Schweickart without a life line should anything go wrong. :scared:

Real pioneering stuff there. These types of flights are often overshadowed by the more famous feats like apollo 11, but they are no less important.
