Here's a few lunar shots from last Thursday night and Saturday night. Seeing was terrible on Thursday, so all shots at at f/10 with the C8, DMK and UV/IR filter. Conditions were better on Saturday night so the 2.5x Powermate got a run too;).
Thought I'd better have a go at this again so I don't forget:P even though the moon is only very low in the sky in the evenings:rolleyes:.

Capernicus and Plato are my 2 favourite craters.
Pity the seeing wasn't in your favour, but they're great pics just the same.

Well done Al,
A nice set of images, fancy I can see at least 3 craterlets in Plato and Eratosthenes is one of my favorite craters with its very distinct terracing.

Al,
A couple of wonderful sets of images. The final image in the second set is the winner for me.

Thanks guys!
I have a heap more to process, but there may not be too many more worth posting from the 7th. The seeing deteriorated quite badly. I have a second Clavius taken late in the night and it is just mush by comparison:lol:. Maybe a couple more from the 5th, but they are lores anyway due to the bad seeing...

Great piccies!!!!. Now we want some Jupiterage and Saturnage:P:D
Best set of close up moon images I've seen ... including books.
The Clavius shot shows so much, and the smoothness & ripples in the Sinus Iridum is magnificent.
Cheers,
Jeff

Thanks Carl and Jeff.
Jupiterage ...hmm... might have to dust off the ToUcam for that. I don't have any filters for the DMK. I could always use the ToUcam for the RGB and DMK for L, but I think the changeover time might be too long (too much rotation)...
ATM my bias is leaning towards Spectroscopy more than imaging though...

Oh man...
You know you can take a lot of avi's when you don't have to muck about setting up! I'm still processing 'em...
Here's a few more.

All these are the same captures from March 7th, but assembled into mosaics with PS CS3.
