fiery meteors around Newcastle

Woo Hoo, tonight at around 19.43 there were two bright meteors that burned up in the atmosphere, to the south of wallsend, and seemed to explode into a bright green light glow in the southern horizon area. Did any other IISers in the Hunter/central coast area see these events?

I did have a couple of glasses of red wine with dinner, but I am sure i saw it, because the witnesses that were with me were a couple that bought my Nexstar4Gt scope tonight. i was showing them the southern cross area when we witnessed the event.


they came in fron the NE and went to SSW area below the Crux area :cool: :cool:

So am I :cool: , i extended myself a little :doh: with a few purchases recently (aka signature) :thumbsup: and I needed to make this happen so that :prey2: Tania wouldn't be too suspicious why I have delayed buying a couple of house items..... :whistle:
