Hi Dave

I recognize the famous obelisk, the Moon and the star trails photos as yours – which others do you have on display and are you expecting any major international purchases of your work in this landmark exhibition of your talents!

Cheers

there are Chris Bond, Dennis Zambelis, Mike Salway, Michael Sidonio, Andrew Catsaitis, Scott Alder on exhibit, with Paul Mayo providing some other images which are in a multimedia presentation (glorified slide show). The main point is to raise the profile of the club in the public eye. I do of course thank the Mike's, Andrew and Paul for helping to prop up the exhibition:D shows images from Mug level (me) through to God Like world class superstars (Mike's )

Dave, I hope there will be info placards near each picture though..? They look bare without at least some note as to who took it, how and what it is of.. the public would have no idea about most of them .

Looks like there are less images on display than originally intended, do you plan to rotate images throughout the 2 months?

well we only provided the images - how the Presentation is made is not up to us, originally i wanted 3 per panel:shrug: so i am not really sure what they are doing:help: as for the name tags - they were being printed on friday afternoon, so they could be up by now

I would like to thank those IIS members and NAS members that turned up to the opening of NOVOSPACE astrophotography exhibition tonight. I am sure RB has a few Walkley winning images of the night but as for me i darnn forgot to turn the camera to raw + jpeg so i was stuck with horrible jpeg images of the evening. I will hide in the corner and post the following images i took of the night. There would have been around 120 people at the opening.

Excellent Dave, looks like a great exhibit. I wish I could've been there but Eliza had a brownie's swimming carnival last night.

Thanks for the photos.

We had a great time last night !

First I'd like to thank the organizers for all the work they put into the exhibition and to personally thank David Hough for asking me to participate by entering some of my images.

The wonderful work on display was truly top notch and a great way to introduce the general public to Astronomy.

There were radio and newspaper reporters there too and I must say it was overwhelming to be interviewed a couple of times, something I wasn't expecting.

Dave you photos from the night are great, you certainly captured the feel of the evening mate.

I'll post a few as well later when I get a chance to sort them out.

Thanks again for a great night.

 Purley unintentional, I can assure you ! :ashamed:

But what was also funny was the lady Herald Editor who pulled me over to congratulate me for it too, she was a big Canon fan. LOL

Yes David a job well done & the photos were great.
I'd like to thank you for all the effort you have put into getting this display off the ground so more people can get to see what we do and promote the club along the way.

Cheers

Looks like a nice night. I was dissapointed I couldn't make the openning but our Avalon International AirShow trip (T'was a real buZZ!!) was prebooked.

I notice there are placards next to each image now - great.

What was the feedback like?

Do you know if and when the opening will be covered in the Newspaper?
