While the moon is out I decided to take my Mount and Skyscan into Star optics to get disassembled degreased backlash and gears adjusted with high quality grease reaplied and tested and also tested out in the field....not bad for $90
I have had some minor problems with the skyscan but this could have been due to the mount...time will tell.
The thing is they need it for 1 week which I dont really mind as it gives me time to play around on some terestial shots with my 20DA.
I have just been outside playing around with some widefield milky way shot's with my 17-40 lense on a tripod....took me atleast 20 minutes to work out that I needed to switch the AF off on the lense to take the shot...I thought the dam camera was broken...lol....oh well part of the learning curve.
Anyway hopefull when I get my mount and skyscan back I can get back into some longer exposure astrophotgraphy.
