Hi All,
Took this series of images last night of this magnificent comet. First time viewable through my scope.

Due to recent inconsistent weather, clouds etc, well they cleared up last night but the winds came through and put a damper on many exposure attempts. (There is always tonight but the moons getting closer)

Anyway here is my first effort 4 x 2min at 1600iso. Stacked in Registax and processed in CS3. (I'll get the hang of this one day)

Paul

Attached is an updated version....9 x 2min at 1600iso, stacked in MaximDL and processed in CS3, All taken on the same night.

I took the last one down because I thought it was a shocking attempt at processing.

Glad you finally got a look in.
Wish there were more like it, more often.

Nice image. I tried last night but it looked like the tail had almost gone in the bright moonlit light polluted skies.

Well done Paul,

It must be frustrating when there is something interesting you want to image and the weather fails to co-operate. I think Murphy's Law must have its origin in amateur astronomy.

Regards
Trevor

Thanks for your nice words and encouragement.
Certainly is frustrating but still....hey I've seen it now and I know what the hype is all about.
