Is this the sort of adapter you are looking for?

I don't think the SBIG ones have threads judging from my SBIG 1.25" nosepiece ... they are attached to the camera with 3 worm screws. I'm using my 2" WO diagonal nosepiece at the moment but I don't want to wreck the thread on it and would rather have an original SBIG part.

Thanks.

On second thoughts I guess it wouldn't matter if I wrecked the thread on a $39 nosepiece.
I don't know why I didn't think of it like that before ... I've seen this nosepiece on Bintel's site on many browsing occasions :screwy:

That’s good news.

Have a look at this SBIG Accessory page (http://www.sbig.com/products/accessories_st7_catalog3.htm)for the ST range of cameras.

Scroll down and they list the following:

Replacement "D" Block and T-thread Ring
Extra Nosepiece: 1.25" and 2"

Thanks again Dennis ... so there is a T Ring with a T Thread that fits inside the D block for 2" nosepieces as well. I forgot the 1.25" nosepiece that I have screws into the ring. I just thought that was what you got and that's that.
That's great ... now where do I get one of the T Rings ?

Hi Steve

If you have the SBIG D Block/T-Ring already and your 1 ¼ inch nosepiece screws into the D Block/T-Ring combo, then you’re okay; the 2 inch nosepiece will screw into the very same T-Ring.

T-Rings are universal, so any Adapter that fits a T-Ring will also screw into your T-Ring.

I think that Tamron (photo lens manufacturer) “invented” the T-Ring (T-2 fitting) some while ago to allow 3rd party lenses and accessories screw into a standard T-Ring fitting. I think it is a 42mm thread with a 0.75" pitch?

The WO 2" nosepiece doesn't fit into the ring for the 1.25" nosepiece ... too big ... 48mm thread ... the Bintel should be ok I hope ... I guess it's wait and see time.

Thanks again Dennis.
