Help needed with ST-4 guiding problem

My problem is that after calibrating the ST-4, I persistently get error messages on both drives. Can any ST-4 user please help me with this problem?
PLEASE TAKE NOTE; I have been using my ST-4 as an auto guider for many years, so am fully versed in its usage. But this problem has me stumped.

I've got a V4rom ST-4 system.
What actually is happening?
You get the readings on the guide star?
Can you hear the relays "click" if you press the direction buttons?
Drop me a PM if it helps and I can replicate any settings etc on my unit to isolate the problem.
