Have just processed some images of local galaxies M61, M83 and NGC4945 that I took this morning just for fun.
Each image is 5 x 5 s, 5 x 10 s, 5 x 20 s and 5 x 30 s frames stacked in Iris. Total exposure time 325 s.
2k x 2k (13.5 um) pixel camera cooled to -55C on 1 metre telescope.

Nice set...
1m telescope with camera @ -55c you say :) Im shooting M83 now with a .25m telescope and camera at a measily -10c and getting roughly the same amount of detail in a 2min sub... Maybe these can take some further processing?
In any case, good to see a set of galaxies in beautiful monochrome! :)
Alex.
Hi Mick, a nice trio of galaxies.
It may be my monitor but it looks like the black point has been clipped in your processing.
Cheers

I noticed that too. Try reprocessing the raw files, Mick.
Other than that, they're good piccies:)

Like Ric mentions, maybe slightly black clipped but for only around 5 min total exposure they are very good! I would love to see some deep shots!

Thanks for the positive comments. I took the shots at the end of the night and just quickly stacked and adjusted black and white points by eye. I might try reprocessing after I've done the work I'm supposed to be doing.
;-)
