I've had several people ask me for the PDFs I referenced to make several modifications to my LXD75 mount. I'm having trouble finding the PDF that illustrates the disassembly, polishing, and regreasing of the axis. I'm still looking and will post it when I find it (it's burnt to a DVD somewhere ).
Here's a link to a PDF that illustrates the other two modifications I made. Cleaning and relubing the motor boxes, and the replacement of the gear drives with belt drives. (Because of the file size limit set by IIS, I couldn't attach it, so I uploaded it to my webserver to make available.)

In addition to IceInSpace, I found a wealth of information specific to this particular mount at:
http://www.weasner.com/lxd/
and the Yahoo Groups:
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LXD55telescopes/
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/WarpsCorp/
The belt drive conversion can be purchased through the WarpsCorp Yahoo Group. But the PDF includes other useful information. (I don't have any connection with the belt drive kits, except that I bought one and installed it.)
