Well, if this site isn't the absolute be-all and end-all of telescope knowledge, I don't know what is!

Throw out you Kreige/Barry "How to build a Dobsonian" book and every other reference book about telescopes that has been written in the last 400 years, 'cause this site is the new reference of all telescope knowledge!

Oh and what is the "Hubble Spade Telescope??

An example on page... http://www.howdotelescopeswork.com/Complete-Telescope-Kit.php

A Complete Telescope Kit

If you want to gaze at the stars in the night, you need to have a telescope for this purpose. Now you have two choices, either to go and make your own telescope which involves buying all the supplies that are required for a telescope and the other option would be to buy a complete telescope kit that has every single supply you require to make your telescope. The first choice is not recommended for beginners.

In fact, the first choice is only meant for professional astronomers. If you are a beginner then the second choice is recommended for you.
These telescope kits (http://www.howdotelescopeswork.com/Complete-Telescope-Kit.php) come with each and every single supply that is required to make a telescope. Moreover, these telescope kits come with a detailed step-by-step instruction guide that tells you how to make an effective telescope (http://www.howdotelescopeswork.com/Building-a-telescope.php) using different parts (http://www.howdotelescopeswork.com/Telescope-Parts.php) included in the kit (http://www.howdotelescopeswork.com/Complete-Telescope-Kit.php).

There are many kits (http://www.howdotelescopeswork.com/Complete-Telescope-Kit.php) available today that will allow you to make a Dobsonian type telescope (http://www.howdotelescopeswork.com/How-to-Build-Your-Own-Telescope.php). These types of telescopes use both primary and a smaller secondary mirror (http://www.howdotelescopeswork.com/Telescope-Lenses.php). Other elements included in this kit are finder scope, focuser, eye-piece and mirror support system. The kit doesn’t contain the tube that could hole all these elements.

Well you might want to stop somewhere on the way to your dark site or even nip off into the bushs when nature calls. A cental locking system on your dob is a must in these situations.:P:D

Just thought you might want a bit of a laugh. Don't take things so seriously, mate!

Are you for real? Smile and I apologise for showing a bit of lighthearted humour.

No need to apologise after all you did post it under general chat plus I think with some careful study we could get a real laugh out of this :D.

Every dob should have bright spot lights attached to it. That way you will see objects in space more clearly :):P:D.

Well Jen you haven't got rid of me just yet which wig have you got on, this is an extract from the site

"You should always hunt for sales that will reduce the cost further. On an average, telescope kits are available at prices ranging from $200 to $300 and are available at various hobby stores throughout the world.
Telescope kit is a great tool for teaching all those guys and girls that are interesting in adopting astrology (http://www.howdotelescopeswork.com/Astronomy-today.php) as a hobby. A teacher can demonstrate how to make a telescope at school and can demonstrate its result to the students. It is indeed a very good teaching tool for all the students of any age."

Do we need to say more

I didn't get far before I started to go giddy but I think Galaleo invented the telescope after having a dream......

Something like that.

I'm going to enjoy my new hobby of Astrology. All I have to do is make up a bracket for my 100 watt Hella guidescopes.:rofl::rofl::rofl :

Ric why would you only use sissy 100W hella's??? The LX could manage at least 4 aircraft landing lights and imagine what a hit you would be at star parties:P. You could light up the skies whilst telling people their horoscopes. You might have to swap you warm cloths for something a little more mystic though :):P:D.

I looked up the owner of the domain name (easy to do these days). He is from Malaysia and appears to own dozens of domain names. He probably cuts and pastes his information from somewhere.
