Forty frames 2min at 800 ISO. Canon 5DH Canon 300mm F2.8L at f/2.8. Fourteen seconds between frames unguided. Stacked with Registax.

Wow, cracker Bert! I love the clarity against the feeling of movement. :cool2: I half expect it to go "Boom!!" like a skyrocket. Fantastic.

Thanks for the comments all. This was the first night in weeks when conditions were OK for astrophotography.

As the comet is at its closest to Earth it is realy scooting along.

Brilliant work Bert,
Very nicely done, clearly demonstrating just how fast Lulin is moving relative to the background stars, really a measure of just how close to Earth it is,

Did you notice the flock of geostationary satelites on the right going down. North is to the left.
