Taken early this morning after tracking the Saturn Titan transit. First effort using EQMOD for (pulse)guiding, and pretty happy with how things performed.

3 x 180 secs, ISO 400, 450D at prime focus with ICNR and flats, MPCC, LPS

Very nice tidy image Rob. Resolved fully to the core. Some more or longer exposures would show more stars and mnaybe a bit more colour but thenagain the core would require more work to resolve to this detail.

Well done

Hi Rob,

Nice effort, very well resolved, nailed the focus. Love the resolution of the core.

Very nicely done. Great you got resolution down to the core. The background is biased to the blue. Omega Centauri is bluish but the background should be more grey. Nice effort.

Greg.

Thanks for looking all. I just love this object - so many hours years ago spent gazing at it with averted vision in my old 4.5" F10 Topic reflector, trying to imagine I could resolve some of the centre....

More data would be great, but it was getting very late (err early) on a "school nite" by then. I did mess for a while Greg trying to tone down the blue from the IDAS some more, but wasn't happy with the colour it left in the background. Probably gave up a bit too early on the processing. Perhaps a good excuse for a reprocess when/if I eventually get more data....

Well done Rob, last time I tried this I totally stuffed up the core, you have it resolved nicely.

Nice one Rob, as mentioned right to the core! Stars nice and tight.
Very nice indeed.

Who gave you clear skies?

Nice one Rob, as was noted the sky could be a little darker, but you have nailed the core.
Well done.

Good going Rob... An hour or so more data from cambroon this weekend should make this a winner :D
