Hi All

This shot of GUM 15 is one of many an interesting emission & reflection nebula to be found in the constellation Vela.

Although only 2 hours of data was captured It was still enough to show the rich dusty region quite well.

Camera: SXVF-M25C
Guide: QHY5/FS60c
Mount: AP600E

Super image Louie. I like the subtle hints of blue reflection from dust particles. Reminds me of the Flaming Star nebula or Ced90. Good colours on display. Well done.

Great detail and an interesting object too Louie. Gum 15 is also called Cederblad 106n and RCW 32. The open cluster is NGC 2671.

Did you travel all the way to Coonabarrabran to image?

What's that - a 7 hour trip one way?

Is Coona... a lot superior to other dark sites you have imaged at?

Wow.

Greg.

Greg,5.5 hours from Bankstown and I always enjoy the drive mate.

I've had quite good seeing most of the times I made the trip up to Coonabarabran mate,I guess that's why I keep going back.

Thanks Fred....the dust is real so I didn't want to eliminate It because of low signal.
