Hi all,
I hope someone got better seeing than I did for this event. The seeing here was buffeted by strong wind from the east and turbulance.
My best image came with just the camera and no barlow. This image equals what I could see visually with colour and detail.

Two of us tried to see the transit last night from Brisbane but the seeing was so bad that we just could not focus a camera properly. Visually it was as if 3 feet of water was running through my scope. At least you managed something. Its incredible what the jetstream can do for seeing here in Brisbane.
Yes. T'was rubbish here in Bris.
Well done Lester. At least you captured the event.

Lester, ''way" better than what we got which was nothing (we were clouded out). Looks good to me!

Lester,
Congratulations (as I continue to grind my teeth) for I like Houghy had a great view of clouds. What time did you take the image?
Regards

Looks like Lester you got the best image of us Aussies. It was clear here but seeing ranged from 1/10 to 4/10. I could not even see the ring shadow much less a moon shadow LOL. One more chance this year for us, but afteer talking with Anthony yesterday there might be some transits available to us southerners next year.

Thanks to everyone for your comments, although I am dissapointed that some of you didn't get to view anything at all. So I am glad I persevered.
This image was taken at 11:06pm S.A. daylight saving time.

Nice work Lester. Clouds and other gremlins ensured I got some much needed beauty sleep last night.
Cheers

Thanks for your comments.
I hope Trevor of Brokenhill will get some good images of this event.
I have been informed that it isn't 2 shadows that I have captured, but the top is Titan's shadow and the lower is acturally Titan, which shows up very dark.
