Love it Ken, top shot
This is an image that tells a story, it is showing clearly the mood of the sea and the weather and how both these things relate to the passage of the ship through it. The clouds have a wonderful brooding look about them and the surge of the waves near the stern of the ship really do convey a feeling of movement.
An excellent photo indeed.

Thank you Trevor.
I think your description of the image hits it right on the nail.

Great pic Ken, that sea looks magnificent  ..... makes you want to pull a jacket around your shoulders, to shelter from the cold .... if it wasnt so hot :)
Hi Ken,
Nice shot!
Obviously not a smooth crossing on that day and I can imagine
some passengers might have been as green as the sea.
Were you on something of a similar size or on one of the cats?
Best Regards

Pretty rough ride on the ferry Gary. Thump, thump, thump it went, as we hit each wave on the trip out to Stewart Island. Several passengers did not like it one bit.I had the passing ship in my camera's view finder when the ship was next to us, when a passenger came out on the deck, and stood right in front of me, obscuring my view.
Ken
Nice shot, looks a bit rough out there! I'd probably be feeding the fish.

Ken,
Another great image. The colour of the ocean is just fantastic.
