Hi all,

Last night was a beautiful night for it, so I spent some hours on these.

The lagoon nebula:
10 x 10 minute exposures - total 100 minutes.
5 x 10 minute dark frames removed.

The Tarantula Nebula:
10 x 60 second exposures
5 x 30 second exposures,
5 x 10 second exposures - total 9 min 20 sec.
Matching dark frames removed.

Skywatcher Black Diamond ED 120mm APO
Orion Starshoot III deep space color imager
Autoguiding with Skywatcher ED80mm APO and Orion Starshoot Autoguider

Nice shots. Like the lagoon off centre with the star filed making up the rest of the wide field!

How do you find the new Orion starshoot compared to the DSI?
What I have heard is that the starshoot is a nice camera!

Gary, the Starshoot is a very simple camera to use. It is a great stepping stone to biggers and better CCD's. I don't think it wilol be long before I am ready for a proper mono camera and LRGB and narrowband filters.
