Hi, I have a large telescope, over 6 feet tall, about a foot and a half across.

It's unusable as I don't have a mount - to see jupiter for example I have to rest it against my backyard table and try to line it up bit by bit for hours until I fluke it and get a viewing.

Does anyone know of a good engineer who would build a dob mount for a reasonable cost?

Thanks
Ben.

Hi Ben,

I would contact the Astronomical Society of Victoria to see if there is someone in your area who might be able to help.

I would offer to help but Canberra is a bit too far away.

Cheers,

Barry from ASIGN is in Canbera and I'm fairly sure he could help you out. I'll try and find his details.
