Here is another deep field, in Antlia....somewhere!
(how very unproffessional, I know!):D

I bumped the scope while searching for a few close groups
of NGC objects in and around Hydra/Antlia.
I haven't yet identified the field that I captured!
I know the field is somehere just south of Alpha Antlia.
I didn't think to read off the DSC readout in Scope!

There are four objects easily seen, one dust bunny too!
The negative shows it slightly better too.

Again...DSI Pro II, 5sec exposures at Newt focus of the GSO-12.

Nice going Steve, now I couldn't help you out either for its location, but pretty good going for such a short exposure.

Thanks Leon,

by no means did I intend someone to do a search themselves,
in fact, I know how frustrating that can be! :)
My Cartes Du Ciel catalogue only goes down to mag 14 or 15 anyway so
that is pretty well useless. (Tycho 2 cat)
My only real hope is to do some widefield with my modded webcam on
the 12" with a FReducer and compare the field.
That and making a mosaic using Aladin frames around suspect NGC
objects.

To kill two birds with one stone, I may as well just do a mosaic starting
from Alpha Antlia and move the scope in DEC untill I reach the cluster
I was originally after. (Using the DSI on the GSO-12 at Newt Focus).
That should get the field eventually.

Yep Steve that should just about do it, but I don't think I could be that patient.

Leon
