Hi Les, Another nice crisp image. Nice noise free image with a DSLR.
Very productive and a lot of details in all your images
Well done.

Thanks for posting your image Les,

Looks good, like the colour of the Neb and stars. Doesn't look over processed. When I first looked at it I thought the stars in the bottom right corner looked elongated but it just may be an effect of their density.

Overall a very pleasing image for the amount of effort that you have put in. Looking forward to seeing more of your most excellent work.

Trevor:thumbsup:

This is the problem I am having with the reducer /flattner I Believe it could be the spacing from lens to chip I took some test shots will look at them tonight to see if the spacing is good :)

Thanks for the kind words Guys

Hi Les,

I believe the distance from the lens in the field flattener to the CCD chip in your DSLR should be 55mm +/- 4mm.

That is correct Trevor I just found out televue makes an adapter for the canon camera hopefully it will work better than what I have for it right now
(Just checked my adapter and its the one for the canon camera so this reducer will not work with my scope so have to send it back )
Thanks for the info

Les

Nice shot Les.

Did you use darks or the ICNR on the 40D? I'd be interested in seeing the H alpha image if possible. I have a modded 450D but find the H alpha shots rather noisy.

Cheers Craig

A great shot Les. NGC2174 is not well known but it is visible in my 50mm finder.
