No offense to our Kiwi friends;)
"They got up and ran out of the court onto the street... That's where they met the pole - it was all over, rover" - A police officer's account of two prisoners' futile bid for freedom

The prisoners, who were handcuffed together, thought they had made their great escape from the courthouse in New Zealand. However they runied their own getaway when they ran either side of a lamppost, crashed into each other and fell into a heap, where police caught up with them.

I'm sure I've seen that slapstick scenario somewhere. Laurel & Hardy? Abbott & Costello? Too many reruns in remand, perhaps. Maybe we should feel sorry for them. They'll be the joke of the jail. Or possibly they'll get time off for imbecility.

(Going a bit crazy with the emoticons there, Jen. Very artistic.)

To be fair, I was watching 'world's dumbest criminals' a while ago, and two fellas were being led out of a police 'paddywagon'. They 2 were handcuffed together and promptly ran on either side of a lamp post! They only made it about 10 meters.

This happened (believe it or not;)) in America.

Great thread :)

I find it ironic that the whole crux of it is about 2 guys being really dumb, and then i look at the spelling on the title of the thread.

:)

that wont win me any friends i know, but i didn't mean it nasty

Humer means to inhale or to smell...maybe we should inhale deeply before we laugh out loud at the gumbys in the handcuffs!!;)

Seems like the thread title may have been a Freudian Slip there Ron.

These two blokes may have thought they were auditioning for a place on "Worlds Funniest Home Videos".

Not really something to brag about:) Or is that a threat:D

Kiwis tend to stand out because of poor spelling and short memory:

"Now let's get the spelling from the dictionary. OK - M.E.T.E.O.R.
Now to write it down C.L.O.O.K. Good!" Bhahaha! Bhahaha!

You don't hear Irish jokes anymore but the New Zealanders, great material.
And the sheep are supposedly good at ballroom dancing.
And are formidable debaters on NZ Toastmasters circuits.

Yea Jen I have seen that before, in the end he just gives up, at least his term in jail will be shorter for not resisting arrest.
