Just a heads up for those within a few hours of Oberon... if you're into photography or old vehicles the Vintage and Heritage Vehicle Rally is being held this coming weekend in Oberon (in conjunction with the Oberon Show). Saturday 21st is usually the main day.

There will be lots of old vehicles there, including steam engines and rollers, and stationary engines, vintage cars and bikes and old military vehicles. I will be commanding a Centurion Tank which belongs to mate who's also bringing in his Bren gun carriers and a Matilda tank (one of not very many still running!).

Great photo opportunities! ... and if you've got kids it'll definitely be something different to the Playstation!;)

:thumbsup:

Sounds like a great weekend out, hope it's a nice sunny day to show them of in all their glory.

Just wondering, at what age is a car or bike considered to be a veteran or vintage vehicle?

Cheers

I could be wrong, but I thought 25 years made them vintage... not sure about veteran. I'll look it up...

I was wrong!:lol::P

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veteran_car#Veteran_Era gives a rundown on the definitions, but it differs a bit from common usage IMHO.
