I had my first attempt with the LPI last night. I also recently got EQMOD working so with the full moon this was a perfect opportunity to try EQ Mosaic. I got the overlap a bit on the conservative side so ended up with a 31 frame mosaic - each frame being a stack of 100 images through the ED80.
So after 2 hours of imaging and minutes of assembling the mosaic thanks to autostitch here is the finished product....

Well done Peter! 31 frames is quite an effort.

Thanks for the comments. I should have mentioned I was using the LPI with a 2x Barlow through the ED80 so each frame of the mosaic was reasonably small. That combined with a lot of overlap meant 31 frames to complete the whole disk. Here's one frame....

Excellent shot Peter. It worked out very well to give a seamless integration of all those photos. Good definition as well.

Bugger, how do you guys do all this stuff, nice going Pete.

Thanks David and Leon. I used my trusty Bahtinov mask to focus on a bright star. First try with EQmosaic - still need to figure out the FOV vs camera orientation and how much overlap I need. 31 frames was a bit of a chore!

Nice going! :) EQMOSAIC is great isnt it! :)
Good to see you got some scope time in, and great dedication completing a 31 panel mosaic.. Serious effort! :) Looks nice, could perhaps do with some deconvolution or a slight unsharp mask to get the most out of the detail. but overall a very good effort...
Here's an idea... Do it again, 5x powermate + 10" newt! give us some DETAIL!! (100odd panels of mosaic later! :D)

I gave it a bit of deconvolution treatment - looks a bit sharper now..
