Hi All,
Finished the night with this of Lulin (C/2007 N3).
Windy, sky like boiling pea soup, but wanted to see the extent and number of tails -so this.

Mosaic of 5min -L shots -darks through the 12".
some streamers & knots.
Pushed for detail.

Very nice work, Jeff. Your mosaic shows the narrow field of view of the 12" very clearly. And nice work on the tail.

Jeff what a top job and incredibly effective.

Definitely the most detailed image of the nucleus and immediate structure that I have seen to date.

Very well done.
Regards
Trevor

Yes nice work indeed. Wonder what the internal structure looks like near the nucleus, is there any jetting?
Can see the atreamers of the gas tail there.

Great shot Jeff. :cool2: Love the detail.

Do you just have the digital drive on your G11 (using the AN to pushto) and if so how are you integrating the AO7 into the setup?

Yes I just have the standard Los and use AN as pushto digital circles (in-fact I have just repaced the old control box with a newer Celestron one).
For this image I didn't use the AO7. Just auto guided with the ST7e through MaximDL 3. The corrections are generally 0.1 to 0.5 pixels.

When I do use the AO7, Maxim has to be initiated the camera as ST wth AO7, but I can't use the move controls for micro-slews. I have to shut down Max. and initiate without the AO7 for micro-s... So I find my field before initiating the AO7.

I also find that I get small amounts of elongation on stars with the AO7. I think I need to do some more callibration before each session with it.
I hope this makes sense.
